And some masks - A generous donation from Mr Larder to add class to the place! Thank you Jerry!
Curtains, just to make the place feel more comfortable, homely and warm
He has also been putting up soft furnishings such as these decorative candle holders

Geoff has been busy playing about with the layout of the tables. Here, he has arranged the evening table!
We now have swing doors at the entrance of the kitchen. One is an 'in' door and the other an 'out' so staff can't bump into each other when one is carrying food and the other empty dishes.
A double sink has now been installed in the wash-up area in the kitchen. A tiler is in there as we speak putting back the tiles along the sink and also along the top of the metal work surface to prevent water leaking down the back!

Which as you can see Geoff is extremely pleased about! (Honest – he really is)

So on Sunday (24th) we had Hurricane Richard which blew off our outside roof. There are pictures of what was the roof on here – it was the part that covered the outside seating area between the main building and the kitchen. But this is actually a blessing in disguise. We hated that roof and were contemplating changing it anyway so we are now in the process of picking out something nice before we have too much rain to flood the restaurant!

Finally followed by a broiler and two double deep-fat fryers

Then up came our heat lamps, coffee machines and microwaves

And shortly after the arrival of those, we had our Miami shipment in of kitchen equipment. Firstly the guys bought up the cooker, which Geoff promptly started assembling

We now have our equipment! We have a delivery of fridges and freezers from our local ‘B&Q’ store consisting of 6 small fridges, 2 glass-fronted fridges and 2 chest freezers

Well, from our previous post showing the entrance to the old kitchen, we have had the frame re-done as it did not go around the door itself. You can actually see where the frame used to go, but nearer opening we will be touching up areas including that one so hopefully you will see it less. But even now it looks a lot tidier!

So we made the gap into a mini-bar! Extended the theme ‘round so that table drinks can be passed to waitresses easily without disturbing people sat at the bar (if any – we are trying to detract from people sitting drinking one $4 beer in an hour! We are trying to make a living here you know!)
Now the gap that we had in the wall at the end of the bar that you can see here we were not too sure what to do with.
And this is behind the bar. At the moment anyhow, until fridges, beer pumps etc fill the gaps
Now, as if the logo was exciting enough – we have a bar! An inside one, that is! So this would be the view coming out of the toilets/store room area
And that is that sign from the road. That promotion sign you can quite clearly see taking up most of the picture is not always there so that does spoil the illusion of the logo on the wall. Once it has gone I will take more photos!
Which you can just about see here (bad angle, sorry!) But you get the jist of it anyhow.
And that's the same sign closer up.
We also had one put on the front wall of the restaurant along the balcony....
We now have a sign! Ok, a painted logo on the wall but still - looks pretty damn good of I do say so myself! And that camper van does not! It is going soon, we have been told, as it just ruins the appearance of the place. But anyway that is the sign on the side of the building which can be seen from the side road going past the restaurant.
